Drinking Water for All: Safe Water, Healthy Families, Prosperous Chandrakot.

Access to clean and safe drinking water is essential for public health, human dignity, and sustainable community development. Every household in Chandrakot Rural Municipality deserves a reliable supply of quality drinking water throughout the year. Safe water helps prevent waterborne diseases, improves family well-being, reduces the daily burden of collecting water, and creates a healthier environment for present and future generations.

We are committed to improving drinking water services across all eight wards of Chandrakot Rural Municipality. Our priorities will include expanding access to safe drinking water in underserved settlements, maintaining and upgrading existing water supply systems, protecting natural springs and water sources, and constructing storage tanks and distribution networks where needed. We will encourage rainwater harvesting, source conservation, and appropriate water purification technologies to address seasonal shortages and improve water quality. Special attention will be given to remote households, vulnerable communities, schools, and healthcare facilities that face difficulties accessing reliable drinking water.

To ensure long-term water security, we will promote regular water-quality testing, proper maintenance of pipelines and reservoirs, transparent management of water supply systems, and active participation of local communities and water-user committees. Coordination with provincial and federal governments, relevant agencies, and development partners will help mobilize resources for sustainable projects. Through responsible planning, source protection, and efficient water management, our goal is to ensure that every household in Chandrakot has access to safe, sufficient, affordable, and dependable drinking water, building a healthier, cleaner, and more prosperous community for all.
