Agriculture is the primary source of income and life for the households of Chandrakot Rural Municipality. Our fertile plains, gentle hillsides, and river valleys provide immense potential to increase household earnings, secure local food production, and keep families prosperous.

We commit to making Chandrakot a self-reliant agricultural area by supporting farmers in both flatlands and hill slopes. In fertile areas like Sota Faat, Majuwa, Gekhung, Shantipur, and Harewa, we will improve irrigation canals and provide high-quality paddy, maize, and vegetable seeds. In hill villages such as Rupakot, Turang, Bishukharka, Gwaha, Divrung, and Harachaur, we will expand commercial orange orchards, vegetable pocket zones, and commercial goat farming. To prevent crops from spoiling and help farmers get fair prices, we will build solar-powered collection centers and cold storage facilities, connecting producers directly with markets in Tamghas and nearby towns.

We will offer free soil testing services and station agricultural technical assistants in every ward to share practical farming techniques. Farm animals will receive regular vaccinations and health checkups near local homes. We will also support agricultural cooperatives run by local youth and women to help farmers access soft loans and useful machinery like mini-tillers at subsidized rates. By combining traditional hard work with modern agriculture support, our farming families will raise their incomes and secure a comfortable living.
